Start Your Day with T.H.E. Routine

I am a morning person, but not instantly. Having an entire (huge) family doesn’t give me a lot of time to get my engine warmed up and ready to go.

Over the years I have had to develop a simple routine that gives me a solid footing, even before I open my eyes. It involves the acronym T.H.E.:

Thanksgiving

Thanking God for the smallest details to the largest blessings in my life, from my warm bed to my huge house and beyond.

Humility

This is simply total dependence on God, instead of self-sufficiency. I simply remind myself and God of how I need Him every second of my life.

Expectation

This is the little ingredient that makes faith work (you might cause it hope with a bit of enthusiasm).

Of course, I go into greater detail in the video–so make sure you watch and subscribe!

  1. I seriously appreciate this! Thank you so much for sharing your heart. Having only two makes me feel sometimes that I’m a complete failure as a mom half the time, but I think that I might just be viewing it wrong and I will definitely take this into advice! I’m so happy I stumbled on your blog! I’m going to add it to the blogs I read most frequently!

  2. I love this! I only have one son, an adult with special needs, and while he can be a bit much all by himself, I also have a husband (aka the Redneck), six dogs, four horses, and four cats (plus two outdoor felines who don’t belong to us but like to hang out with the ‘cool kids’). You will be joining my blog list today! I love to read blogs from moms of many children, there’s a lot to learn about efficiency from you blessed ladies.

    • Thank you, Evelyn! No matter how many children we have, life has its storms, doesn’t it? Jesus is always my go-to when the wind starts blowing 🙂
