Homebuilding 101: Where to Find HELP

Where does a mom of 15 go when she needs help? Jesus, of course! He offers everything we could ever need, even wrote it down in a binding document.

Read it right here:

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:3-4

The Bible says:

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Numbers 23:19

So if God promises something, He fulfills that promise. That’s why we can count on what He says as DONE!

When we are so swamped or tired or broke we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, He swoops through the darkness and becomes our light.

  1. This was a direct answer to my hearts prayer to the Lord . I cannot tell you how discouraged and overwhelmed this past year has been and so magnified as of late. Jesus really is here holding my hand and helping me through. Although it’s like after crying in my closet every day feeling like it’s just absolutely beyond me and I cannot do this. He has been really here. One day/moment at a time. I look forward to giving you a big hug in heaven some day.
Thank you again for being the only Titus 2 woman I know.

    • Kristi,
I have been there, crying every day into my dishtowel, and the Lord has brought me out of that season in His own time. Jesus will never leave you and will carry you through. Remember, we just have to endure to the end. Don’t discount the value of simply enduring. I am praying for you tonight.

    • Now I have to grab the tissues…thank you for being so vulnerable. God is especially close to those who are overwhelmed, which He tells us time-after-time in His Word. You are going to look back on these times and see that it was in the fire you find you are ushered in to the very presence of God, and when things cool off you miss it.

  3. Sherry,
I can’t tell you what a blessing it is to hear your Scripture-saturated advice. In a world where Christian women bloggers and authors are telling us to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and trust in ourselves, your focus on dependence on the strength of God and His speaking to us through His Word is a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much.

  4. Sherry I’m so glad this video platform is working so well for you and others but I’m sad and missing your posts:'( I don’t really have time to watch them and don’t glean as much if I would. I understand your time constraints but would love it if at some point you would consider writing the transcripts. Thank you for all you do!!!

    • I’m so sorry this has inconvenienced you, Jesse! It is my desire to bless you and make things as easy as I can for you, but traditional blogging was draining me at a time when my family really needed me. It was to the point that I could have become a hypocrite–talking about being a marvelous mother while I was really spending very little time doing it! Thank you for your understanding, and I will try and look into making a transcription or two 🙂
