How to Find Time for Homeschooling

Any mom of children knows that life is full of surprises. But besides taking care of the regular responsibilities of motherhood, teaching your own children makes you feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day! With a mega brood of my own, I understand the frustration. Today we are going to discuss ways I have found time for homeschooling.

Most of us know we need God’s guidance for the big questions we face; such as what vocation to choose or what person to marry. But God has put me through a stricter school. Through my experiences as a homeschooling mom of 15 children He has taught me lesson after lesson in trust, and that has made all the difference.

There have been times when I have had some in college, was teaching some to read and others to do algebra, all the while either pregnant or nursing. It was at these times I learned to rely on God’s leading in the tiniest actions, so that He could orchestrate the rest of my circumstances.

Looking back, it was the times I felt most inept that I was most productive, and I know it was not my own competence.

As someone has said in times past:

There are always enough hours in the day that is given to the Lord.

God is in this thing we call homeschooling, and as we trust Him in the moment, He will enable us to find the time we need.
