Glorious Mothering

I have an exciting announcement to make…

Glorious Mothering has been published!

For those of you who haven’t heard, I’ve been working on this book for about two years now. At first it was only a hodge-podge of ideas which sat on the shelf for over a year while life flew by like a bullet train on steroids…

…and then as life slowed down we dug in and got ‘er done.

This is not a time-waster

Like me, you only have so many hours in a day, and most of these are for our loved ones. But, also like me, you need to carve out some time for recharge.

Glorious Mothering will help make this possible. Each page is so concentrated it will feel like you are taking a mom vitamin. After only a few moments you will be meditating on scripture and mulling over ideas that will revolutionize your mom life.

Here are the chapter titles:

  1. Moms Can Have Joy
  2. How to Be a Self-Controlled Mom
  3. How to Become a Peaceful Mom
  4. When You Should and Shouldn’t Worry
  5. Overcoming Overwhelm
  6. Weathering a Storm
  7. Streamlining
  8. Getting Ahead
  9. Making Children Behave
  10. Keeping Track by Herding
  11. Harness the Potential Energy in Your Family for God’s Glory
  12. Finding Time for Recharge
  13. Troubleshooting
  14. Don’t Make Your Kids Ashamed of Their Home

There are two forms to choose for reading; paperback book or Kindle. Both have been priced reasonably so they will be affordable. Click on the graphic below for the link:

To give you a taste for what is found inside, here are some quotes:

If large families experience magnified problems, they also enjoy help that goes above and beyond what normal humans experience.

Children often cause trouble because they do not know what they are supposed to be doing with themselves.

Helping out at home trains the temper and builds the body. Chores help children learn perseverance and compassion for others.

I read the Bible every day. I take it with me in my purse. I open it when I’m happy and when I’m sad. I live every day from its passages and I escape every night into its promises.

You don’t have to settle for a defeated, sad life. Jesus promised us peace and joy, and they can be yours daily. This book will help show you how to grab these promises and make them yours!

  1. I finished reading it and it was amazing! A real treasure! You can read my review on Amazon. I highly recommend the paperback version as it has Sherry’s touch all over it in the form of beautiful artwork and very appealing formating.

    • Thank you, thank you, Jill. My husband just finished reading your review to me–you are such a good writer! Our daughter, Olivia, actually did the artwork after we consulted together on what it should look like (she also did all of the formatting of the book–what a trooper). I always look forward to hearing from you. You are truly a blessing to me 🙂

  2. Hi,
You have been a great encouragement to me for a while now so thank you. I am a Mom of 10.

I was just wondering how I can get hold of a copy of your book here in Australia? Any ideas?
    Many thanks

    • Have you thought of trying the Kindle option? You could then read it on a Kindle, on a computer or tablet, or on your phone. Hope this helps!
